REGGAE DANCEHALL QUEEN PATRA EMERGES FROM THE TRENCHES.[SHE STILL LOOKS GOOD]

Patra-Out-in-New-York

They don’t make good reggae artist anymore atleast since I’ve been an adult. I remember growing up listening to such artist as Shabba Ranks, Shaggy, Lil Vicious and Queen Patra. She was the island version of Lil’ Kim with a sprinkle of Foxy Brown. She made hits and kept the party moving and out of nowhere disappeared into thin air. From my readings and what not she got swindled out of money and her label sent her packing. People who followed her career knew many of her hits like ‘Worker Man’, ‘Romantic Call’ feat Yo Yo, and her biggest hit to date ‘Pull Up To My Bumper’ a Grace Jones cover.

Recently Patra was spotted out in NYC celebrating an event for magazine editor Emil Wilbekin.

I miss me some Patra and for those of you who may have been babies or still swimming through the canals of your fathers sperm bank then get into some of her classics below.
