Another urban award show aired last night and of course BET’s production team was behind all it. The Soul Train Awards were celebrating 40 years of Love, Peace, and Soul minus Don Cornelius. The festivities were hosted by comedian Cedric The Entertainer and featured performances and tributes by Gladys Knight, Jill Scott, Mindless Behavior, Eric Benet, Dave Hollister, Freddy Jackson, Lalah Hathaway, Marsha Ambrosious, Natalie Cole and the all star tribute to Heavy D.

While I was pleased to see so many entertainers return to the stage the award show was less than stellar. I don’t know what is it but the edits and sound were horrible. I don’t understand why this isn’t shown live? For all those that seen it did you have a good time viewing it or were you just as empty as I was. If you missed it they are airing them again on tomorrow night so in the mean time peep out some performance photo’s after the break..
