No she didn’t take home the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Help , but Viola did look radiant on the Red Carpet!
After sweeping much of award season this year from the Golden Globes to the SAG’s, Octavia Spencer accepted the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Minnie in The Help which is also nominated for Best Picture. Octavia remained humbled throughout her acceptance speech and it reminded me so much of when Hattie McDaniel received her award!

As read on The Root— In a service last weekend at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, the embattled and controversial Bishop Eddie Long received a new title: king.
In a video that appeared on YouTube earlier this week, Long was proclaimed to be royalty by a visiting speaker.
Although it leaked to the press earlier in the day by TMZ, WWE officially made the announcement during WWE Raw on USA tonight that Mike Tyson would be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Following the latest reveal, Tyson will join already announced 2012 inductees Edge and The members of the 4 Horsemen. WWE presented a video package detailing the career of the former boxer and his time spent in the wrestling organization over the years including his role as an ‘enforcer’ in a match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XIV.
Mike Tyson will join the entertainment leg of The WWE Hall Of Famers including celebs Pete Rose, Drew Carey, William “The Refrigerator” Perry, and Dick Ebersol.
